About
Originally from upstate New York, Dr. McLaughlin grew up in Ocala, Florida. He received his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Florida in Gainesville. His general surgery internship and urologic surgery residency were completed at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine, where he was recognized for outstanding medical student teaching and received the Pfizer scholar for outstanding in-service exam performance.
Dr. McLaughlin joins Tennova Urology - Clarksville after practicing in both Michigan and Florida. While in Michigan, he served as a clinical instructor for the University of Michigan Department of Urologic Surgery. Dr. McLaughlin specializes in minimally invasive procedures with a strong emphasis in robotic-assisted surgery for both noncancerous and cancerous conditions. He has completed more than 1000 complex cases robotically.
Dr. McLaughlin is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of both the American Urologic Association and the Endourological Society. He has shared and authored many presentations related to urological conditions to both his peers and the communities in which he has served.
