About
Maximilian Martinez, M.D., received his bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Boston College in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. He earned his master’s degree in biomedical science at Tufts University in Boston. Dr. Martinez completed his medical education at Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School in Newark, NJ, earning his Doctoral of Medicine.
Dr. Martinez completed his residency at Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School. While there he was the administrative chief resident and received the alumni award for clinical acumen, research effort, and orthopedic excellence. He carried out his fellowship in orthopedic sports medicine at the University of Rochester in New York. In addition to his past work as an orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Martinez has served as team physician on both the high school and college level.
Dr. Martinez has been published multiple times, with his work appearing in orthopedic and surgical professional publications. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine. He is also certified in arthroscopic knee cartilage repair and the robotic knee surgical system.
Dr. Martinez performs knee replacements, both robotic and traditional, and shoulder surgeries. He focuses on sports medicine and looks forward to treating both practicing athletes and those looking to improve their physical health.
